O templo sede da Igreja Evangélica Assembleia de Deus, em Nova Fátima, é um local de referência, não só pela sua estrutura, que atualmente passa por reformas, mas principalmente por ser um lugar onde milagres acontecem, um lugar que está sempre de portas abertas para todos que desejam ouvir a palavra de Deus. Nesta pagina, nós disponibilizamos muitas informações da igreja e um pouco da sua história, em Nova Fátima, no Brasil e no mundo. Conheça também o Campo Fatimense e os departamentos da nossa igreja.
História
O evangelho chegou à Nova Fátima em 1954, através dos Irmãos João Moreira, Ramiro e Manu, que saíram de uma cidade vizinha, Pé de Serra, para trabalharem na localidade. Começaram pregando a Palavra de Deus e, no dia 04 de Agosto do mesmo ano, a irmã Ana Abdias (uma pioneira da igreja) aceitou o Senhor Jesus como seu Senhor e Salvador. A partir desta data começaram a cultuar a Deus na casa dessa irmã, na Fazenda conhecida como Araçazinho.
Com o passar dos anos Jesus foi salvando almas. Crescendo o número de fieis, surgiu a necessidade de um obreiro para cuidar dos mesmos. O saudoso pastor Severino Santos que pastoreava o campo de Feira de Santana, naquela época, enviou o presbítero José Borges, conhecido por Zequinha para assumir a nova congregação.
Com o passar dos dias a congregação cresceu e foi transferida para Vila Fátima (nome anterior a cidade de Nova Fátima) onde a qual se encontra até hoje na Avenida Landulfo Alves, 344, Centro.
A Assembleia de Deus em Nova Fátima foi um marco inicial para a evangelização das pessoas nas cidades circunvizinhas. Chegou a fazer parte no campo novafatimense às igrejas nas cidades de Riachão do Jacuípe, Pé de Serra, Pereira,Capela do Alto Alegre entre outras, hoje todas são campos independentes.
A igreja vem cumprindo seu papel social,e através da palavra do Senhor vem ganhado almas para cristo que é o principal papel de uma igreja.
